DESCRIPTION OF TERMINALS AND CONNECTION CABLES
All connections made to the voltage regulator must be made with the 2.5mm insulated female faston
connector that is ideal for connecting your terminals.
Regarding the cables to be used, the temperature at which the equipment will be subjected must be
respected. It is recommended to use the temperature class above 200 ° C. The insulation class
should be greater than or equal to 750 V and the diameter is recommended to be 1mm².
E1
: Sensing voltage (160-300 Vac).
E2
: Sensing voltage (330-600 Vac).
3
:
Voltage supply for power and controlo of the regulator.
E
3/4
:
Reference (or common) of the regulator between voltager supply and sensing.
A-
: Reference for analog input.
A+
: Analog input ±9Vcc.
DW
: Digital input dry contact (Down) decrease output voltage per pulses.
UP
: Digital input dry contact (Up) increases output voltage per pulses.
CM
: Digital input dry contact (Common) common point for digital input.
S1
: Conexão for S1 pole of CT.
S2
: Connetion for S2 pole of CT.
F+ e F-
: Connetion to generator field.
Freq
: Jumper 50/60 Hz.
TC
: Jumper 1/5 A.
SHUTDOWN
With the correct U / F protection configured, the generator is switched off with the shutdown of the
primary machine.
To disconnect only the equipment without disconnecting the primary machine, simply disconnect
the power from terminal 3 which is responsible for power supply, otherwise the regulator will not
excite the excitation field of the generator, causing the generator output voltage to decrease until
reaching its residual voltage due to the residual magnetism of the generator.
Do not perform any disconnection procedure without shutting down the primary machine until the
generator speed is 0 rpm.
This equipment has no control over the primary machine so it has no device to shut it down. To
perform any access to the equipment, switch off the generator so that there is no residual voltage
present at the equipment terminals, thus allowing access to the voltage regulator. The label below
is provided in printed form as an adhesive with the equipment when it is purchased. This label must
be affixed to the access door or cover of the location where the voltage regulator will be installed.
