VariSet Footboard Angle Adjustment
The Footboard angle can be adjusted in two ways. By
loosening the Key Bolt on the Pull Cam, you can change the
Footboard angle infinitely (Fig.11). You can also change the
angle by loosening the Key Bolt on the Cam Wheel, and
sliding the Drive Connector to one of the three positions
(Fig.12). Make sure to tighten the Key Bolts after
adjustments.
Hi-Hat Cup Tilt Adjustment
Turn the Knurled Knob to tilt the
bottom cymbal to help prevent "air
lock" between the cymbals (Fig.9).

Tip
If the Footboard angle is set too high or too low, the action of the
Release Button (for the Interchangeable Cam system) can be
impaired. Should this happen, slightly readjust the angle of the Pull
Cam until the Release Button moves freely.
CAUTION
The Spikes are sharp and can cause serious personal or property
injury. To prevent mishaps, use extreme care when handling the
stand especially when the Spike Tips are exposed. A rug or carpet
should be used to protect floor surfaces whenever the Spikes are
used.
CAUTION
Keep the jaws of the Adaptor parallel
to each other for optimum clamping
power.
Allen Screw
Lever
Drop Clutch Adjustment
The Drop Clutch allows you to
play the Hi-Hat Cymbals in closed
setting without stepping on the
footboard. By striking the lever, it
would disengage the lock and
have the Top Hi-Hat Cymbal fall
making the Hi-Hat Cymbals in
closed setting. Step on the
footboard once again and it would
re-engage the lock for regular
Hi-Hat playing style.
Over a period of time, play may
develop between the latch and
drop portions of your Drop Clutch.
Should this happen, loosen the
Allen screw with the provided
Allen wrench and turn the
cone-shaped nut until the originial
fit is restored then re-tighten the
Allen screw (Fig.10).

Reversible Spiked / Rubber Tipped Feet
For maximum slip preven-
tion, the Spike Tip should
be used. Loosen the Key
Bolt until the Spike rotates
easily then turn the Spike
downward. Tighten the
Key Bolt to lock the Spike
(Fig.6).
Upper Section Assembly
Mount the Upper Section of the
RH-2050 to your kit with an
Adaptor such as the Pearl AX-25L

Thread the Lower Hi-Hat Cymbal through the Pull Rod and
place it on the Hi-Hat Cup, followed by the Rubber Washer
and Lock Nut. Tighten the Lock Nut to secure (Fig.8).
Assemble the Top Hi-Hat Cymbal and the Drop Clutch as
shown in (Fig.8-A). Tighten the Key Bolt on the Bottom Nut
(Fig.8-B) to prevent it from loosening during performance.
Mount the Drop Clutch with the Top Hi-Hat Cymbal
attached to the Upper Pull Rod. Adjust the distance
between the top and bottom cymbals to your preference
then secure the Drop Clutch by tightening the Wing Nut.
