TROUBLESHOOTING

No AC inverter

Excessive current drawn
by appliance being
operated Reduce load to maximum of 200 watts.
Inverter not warmed up
completely Turn off the appliance and inverter. Disconnect appliance.
Turn the inverter on and leave running for a minimum of 2
minutes. Turn off inverter and quickly plug in appliance to
inverter, making sure appliance is off prior to connection.
Turn on the inverter and the appliance.
Inverter fuse failed Replace with a new 25-amp rated fuse.
Inverter status
indicator light
is off Inadequate power or
excessive voltage drop Check Portable Power System voltage and recharge if
voltage drops below 12 volts.
Inverter overloaded Replace load to a maximum of 200 watts.
AC appliance
will not start Appliance requires a
high surge wattage to
start up Quickly toggle the power inverter ON/OFF switch a total of
fi ve times in order to generate the necessary power to start
the appliance. If the appliance does not turn on or start up in
fi ve cycles, this inverter will not work with this appliance.
Television
interference Picture breaking up
(snow) Place the inverter (Portable Power System) as far as
possible away from the TV, antenna and the coaxial cable.
