When the lights flashing in white, it means the AB point has been set up. 

Press the correspondent function button once, AB point will be canceled.

Motor Installation

 

The motor is mounted on 19 mm or 15 mm rods. For 15 mm rods use the included 

19 to 15 mm rod adaptor.

Connecting Motors

When using PD2-N1 (Single Channel): 

1).Connect the D-Tap power cable 6-pin aviation locking plug directly to the PD3-R 

REMOTE 12 ~ 18V input. 

2).Then connect the D-Tap plug to a pro battery or similar power source with a D-Tap 

output.

When using the PD2-N2 (Dual Channel): 

1).Connect the motor cable (6-pin) from the PD3-R REMOTE 12 ~ 18V connector to 

the PD3-M REMOTE12 ~ 18V connector. 

2).Connect the D-Tap to 6-pin aviation locking plug to PD3-M REMOTE12 ~ 18V and 

connect the D-Tap plug to a pro battery or similar power source with a D-Tap output.

When using PD2-N3 (Triple Channel): 

1).Connect one Motor Drive Line Cable to the PD3-R REMOTE12 ~ 18V connector 

and the PD3-M1 REMOTE12 ~ 18V connector. 

2).Connect second Motor Drive Line Cable to the PD3-M1 REMOTE12 ~ 18V 

connector and the PD3-M2 REMOTE12 ~ 18V connector. 

3).Connect the D-Tap to 6-pin plug to the PD3-M2 REMOTE12 ~ 18V connector and 

Then connect the D-Tap plug to a pro battery or similar power source with a D-Tap 

output.

3. Installing the Antennas

 

Three antennas are included in the package. Install one on the hand control 

unit. Install one on the PD3-R Receiver Motor. The third antenna is an extra.

4. Powering On

To power on the Hand Controller Unit, press the OFF / ON button on the bottom 

of the unit for two seconds until the screen lights up. To power on the motor, 

press the ON / OFF button on the bottom for two seconds until the indicator 

lights up.

5.Set the Channel

Check the info at the OLED monitor on the controller and mastermotor to see 

if they are at the same signal channel. Press ON/ OFF button quickly on the 

controller and master motor, you can change the channel. After it is connected, 

both controller and motor will show the data of the signal.

6.Connect the App

Turn on the Bluetooth at your iPhone/ iPod touch, start the app”REMOTE AIR”

, it will search and match the controller automatically. It is searching the device 

when the bluetooth icon is flashing; it is connected if the icon turn dark. Then 

you can see the control interface. After the bluetooth is connected successfully, 

you can see the bluetooth icon from the OLED monitor at the controller, the 

light will turn from red to green. (You can download the app at app store by 

searching keyword of PDMOVIE/ REMOTE AIR)

This function is for expand use. Just pass this if you just need regular use.

7.Set control channel

There are correspondent function button and channel lights for the wheel and 

push-pull levers.Press the function button at FOCUS quickly for twice, the 

controller lights can be turned to red. Press the function button at ZOOM/ IRIS 

quickly for twice, the lights can be turned on green and blue. There are also 

channel lights for the motors. Press the ON/OFF button quickly twice at the 

bottom of the motors, the lights can be set as FOCUS(red), ZOOM(green), 

IRIS(blue). 

8.Calibration

Press the FOCUS function button at the controller and hold up to 3 seconds, the 

calibration will be done automatically. If you connect with the App, just press the 

AUTO button at the right bottom up to 3 seconds. All motors will be calibrated same 

time when you are using PD2-N2 or PD2-N3.

9.Two ways of controlling

1. Turn the wheel and the pull-push levers to controller the correspondent motors. 

2. When you use with the App, you can control by slide in the app to control the 

correspondent motors. (PS: The HELP in the app will teach you how to use it. Or 

you can watch the teaching video every time you start the app)

Supplementary instruction

1)There are 3 different gears for REMOTE AIR 3(0.4M, 0.5M, 0.6M), 

Choose the suitable one according to the different lenses and replace 

by 3MM hexagon wrench. (Standard configuration is 0.8M, other size 

need extra order.)

2)Emergency stop: Some reasons like the motors screws are not 

tightened enough will cause the gears no stop running during calibration. 

Only need to press the ON/OFF button at the bottom of the motors.

3)The calibration can be made manually: Firstly you need to install the 

motors and align the gear at the camera gear. Start the motors, then 

turn the iris, zoom or focus to one end manually, then turn the 3 channels 

to the other end, the motors will record the start and end automatically. 

Then the calibration is finished.

4)If the motors got no response when you use the controller, please 

check below:

please check if the controller and master motor with same signal channel

please check if the channel lights are fit with motors lights

please check if the calibration is done or not

please check if the AB point is set

5)When the app connect with the controller, it will search and match the 

controller automatically. When you restart the controller, you need to 

restart the app and rematch to the controller as well.

6)There are 2 1/4 screw holes to install the monitor, iPhone/ iPod Touch 

clap etc

7)How to charge:

The TX in the OLED monitor of the controller means how much power left.

Under normal usage, the power can last for 48 hours.

You can use power bank to charge the controller by USB when the 

power is not enough.

About how to keep the battery long life use: If you will not use the 

device for a long time, we suggest you can check your controller once 

in a while to make sure the power is full. It will do harm for the battery if 

it is no power or low power situation for a long time. It’s best to make the 

power in a middle status.

8)How to preserve the device: Electronic elements will be affected with 

damp and mildewed under the relative humidity is over 60%. It might 

cause problems for the device. Pls keep REMOTE AIR 3 into our case or 

any moisture-proof box so that the humidity can between 35-45%
