SETTINGS Button
When a smart device is paired with the
touch io
reader, the
SETTINGS touch
button is displayed and
available in the
Device
screen.
Tap the
SETTINGS
button. The
Settings
screen options are shown.
NOTE
: It is necessary to be within close proximity of the Bluetooth reader to make changes in the Settings
screen.
Tap the toggle switch options to enable/disable these features.
Inside/Out Detection
By default, the
Inside/Out Detection
of the patch antenna is on.
Unlike other Bluetooth readers,
touch io
uses ProdataKey proprietary
Inside/Out Detection
technology to
prevent accidental or unauthorized openings. Using advanced hardware technology, the installed patch
antenna detects which side of the door a user is standing, distinguishing between credentialed access
coming from outside of the room or inside before granting or denying access.
Inside/Out Detection
uses a small, high-sensitivity patch antenna mounted to the
inside
wall opposite to the
wall-mounted
touch io
. The antenna is able to sense the strength of the signal from a credentialed device
(such as a smartphone) to make that determination.
Inside/Out Detection
technology determines the exact
location of a user’s phone in relation to the
touch io
device. It intelligently detects whether an authorized
