Establishing a Bluetooth connection
To establish a Bluetooth connection, first switch on the meter. Then download the app "PCE
SmartMeasure Environmental" from the respective store.

To establish a connection, first switch on the meter.
Enable Bluetooth and the location function in your mobile device.
Next, open the app and apply the "Connect" button.
Now select "Search devices" in the lower area of the display and connect to the PCE-PMI 1BT by
selecting the device.
After the connection, the meter can be operated via the app.
Note:
Do not establish a connection via the system setting but only via the app.

Making a measurement
Once a connection has been established, a measurement can be
taken. The meter should be held as shown in the illustration. For a
measurement, place the measuring ball on the surface to be
checked. You can read the measured value directly from your mobile
device.
Note:
On an even surface, the distance between the nearest wall
and the measuring ball must not be less than 10 cm. During the
measurement, the measuring device must be positioned
perpendicular to the sample.
When making a measurement, your hand should not come close to
the metal ball as the water content in the human body will falsify the
measurement.

Replacing batteries
To replace the batteries, first switch off the meter. Then open the
battery compartment on the back and insert 2 x 1.5 V AAA batteries. Make sure that the polarity
is correct.

Automatic power off
When the meter is not connected to a mobile handheld device, it will switch off within 3 minutes.
