8.1 Waste disposal
Please remember that residues from industrial processes not declared equivalent in type or quantity to
municipal waste are classified as special waste. Obsolete or worn out machinery is also classified as spe
-
cial waste.
The user must comply with the local legal requirements and take special care when disposing of materials.
8.2 environmental protection guidance and information
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol indicates that the product must not be treated as household waste
but must be disposed of at the special waste recycling centres provided by local government.
Recycling of waste electrical or electronic equipment (WEEE) prevents possible detrimental effects on
the environment or health arising from its incorrect disposal and allows the recover of its constituent
materials, generating major savings of energy and resources. To indicate this, every product carries the
crossed-out wheelie bin symbol.
