5 SatAimer Information Displays
5.1 SatAimer and Modem Status Displays
The SatAimer home page contains several sections that provide information about the
satellite skid, the SatAimer software, and the modem.
Modem Status
The Modem status section provides useful information about system’s modem. The
fields are explained in the table below.

Explanation
Status
A text message indicating the status of the modem, and a lighted display
indicating current status:
•
Status
: Lit green when the modem is communicating with the aimer program
•
RX
: Lit green when ready to receive data
•
TX
: Lit green when ready to send data
•
Net
: Lit green when the system is connected to a satellite network
SNR
Signal-to-noise ratio (typically above 9 when aimed, depending on location).
This field switches to signal strength when the dish is scanning for the satellite
signal.
