Introduction
The Mini Speaker works with the PASCO Resonance Air
Column to demonstrate the propagation of sound waves in a
tube. It is possible to set up standing wave patterns and
locate nodes and antinodes in the air column.
Setup
Connect the end of two banana plug patch cords into the
shrouded banana jacks on both sides of the base of the Mini
Speaker. Plug the other end of the patch cords to the signal
generator, such as the PI-8127 Function Generator.
Adjust the frequency and amplitude of the signal as needed.
