STEP 5: PLACE THE HALF ROOF CONES ON THE RIDGE
OF THE FRAME AND AFFIX THEM WITH THE TIES
PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE. NOW PLACE THE
GLASS FIBRE RIDGE CAP SO THAT IT’S TWO PARTS
OVERLAP. AFFIX THE CAP PARTS TO THE FRAME WITH
FINE METAL WIRE THROUGH PRE-DRILLED HOLES.
THE HUTS MUST BE CHECKED REGULARLY: ARE THE BOLTS FIRMLY ATTACHED, ARE THE
FRAME, THE POLE AND THE FLOOR ATTACHMENTS IN GOOD CONDITION?
(Poles made of solid wood evolve according to the climate to which they are exposed. They
can become slightly deformed or burst at the very end and their diameter may vary by a
few millimetres, but this does not detract from their sturdiness. Complaints/returns are not
accepted, except for reasons other than natural changes.)
Step 4: Clamp the reed panels - firstly along the lowest
row of the roof inclines - along the exterior of the
frame(on large models it is more convenient to stick the
reed panels along the inside of the frame for the high
rows). If the last straight panel in a row is too long, trim
it with a knife after the clip, to avoid leaving a long, loose
end.
The panels are 98% watertight. The mixed reed panels
are 100% watertight due to the addition of a transparent
plastic film (if a complete seal is not required, the film
can be removed to simplify installation).
