Adjustable Height Quick Guide
PRIOR TO FIRST-TIME USE:
Unpack the impactor head(s)
using gloves
. Fingerprints on freshly
manufactured stainless steel may become lasting cosmetic marks.
Wash
the entire impactor surface
and mechanical parts.
Rinse
with DI or WFI water to remove residual detergent.
Dry
completely
before first autoclave sterilization.
PRIOR TO AUTOCLAVING:
Clean
the BioCapt impactor with chemicals compatible with 316L
stainless steel.
Remove
any cleaner residue and ensure all surfaces are dry to avoid discoloration.
Compatible chemicals:
•
Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) 70/30
•
Sodium Hypochlorite 1% or 6% (NaClO)
•
Hydrogen Peroxide, up to 6% (H
2
O
2
)
•
H
2
O
2
and acetic acid
•
Dec-Clean, typically 0.7 (Vol %) in WFI water
•
P2C-1, typically 1-5 Vol% in DI or WFI water
•
Quaternary ammonia solution
•
Phenol (C₆H₅OH)
•
Neutral detergent residue remover
BETWEEN SAMPLING:
Ensure no agar residuals are present on the impactor head.
Wash
the entire
impactor surface and mechanical parts. Allow cleaner residues to
evaporate until dry

Turn locking pin counterclockwise with flathead
screwdriver until secure.

To unlock, rotate pin clockwise.
