DEFINITIONS, DESIGNATIONS AND ABBREVIA-
TIONS
The present Service Instructions contain the following terms:
Device - Voltamperephasometer “Parma ВАФ-A”.
GOST - Russian State Standards.
Measuring Clamp - current measuring clamp for measurment chan-
nel. Identified by serial numbers to be represented on the display at switch-
ing on of the device, on the side of the corresponding channel. Or by serial
numbers designated in the device logbook.
Reference Clamp - current measuring clamp for reference channel.
Identifying the same way as Measuring Clamp.
Us (Is) - Maximum scale value of voltage (current).

7.6.4.4
VAF is considered to pass the test if the range of effective
value of direct voltage is 0.0 – 460 V and the relative permissible error
doesn’t exceed the value determined in p. 7.1.
7.6.5 Verification of effective range and measurement error of
effective value of alternating voltage measurement.
7.6.5.1
Connect the device to UPPU-1M system.
7.6.5.2
Set input voltage frequency on 50 Hz.
7.6.5.3
Switch the device on and make sure that zero value of
voltage is shown on indicator.
7.6.5.4
Make measurements in the following range points: 10, 100,
200, 300, 460 V.
7.6.5.5
VAF is considered to pass the test if the range of effective
value of alternating voltage is 0.0-460 V and the relative permissible error
doesn’t exceed the value determined in p. 7.1.
7.6.6 Verification of effective range and measurement error of
alternating current measurement.
7.6.6.1
Connect the device to UPPU-1M system.
7.6.6.2
Set the frequency of output voltage on 50 Hz.
7.6.6.3
Switch the device on and make sure that zero value of cur-
rent is shown on indicator.
7.6.6.4
Make measurements in the following range points: 100 mA,
1, 3, 5, 7.5, 10.0 A.
7.6.6.5
VAF is considered to pass the test if the range of effective
value of alternating current strength and the relative permissible error doesn’t
exceed the value determined in p. 7.1.
7.6.7 Verification of effective range and measurement error of
phase shift measurement.
7.6.7.1
Connect the device to UPPU-1M system, connect voltage
supplied to terminals of reference channel and join clip-on instrument of
measurement channel to lead wire. Install clamp, marking plate in down
position.
7.6.7.2
Set the frequency of output current and voltage on 50 Hz.
7.6.7.3
Set the output voltage of UPPU-1M system on 100 V, out-
put current on 5 A, current-voltage phase shift equal to zero. Control phase
shift by phase shift meter F2-34.
7.6.7.4
Measure the phase shift.
7.6.7.5
Repeat the measurement for 90 and 180 degree phase
shift.
7.6.7.6
Turn off the voltage.
7.6.7.7
Join clamp of reference channel. Install both clamps on
lead wire of the system in the same manner.
7.6.7.8
Measure the phase shift.
