Switching the product on/off

After switching off the product, the
trimming assembly keeps revolving for
some time. Allow the trimming assembly
to come to a standstill. Keep hands and
feet away!
NOTE
Maintain a firm stand and hold the
product well with both hands and at
some distance away from your body.
Before turning on the product, check that
it will not touch any objects.

Remove grass cuttings regularly from the
spool cap
[
]
to make sure that cutting is
not impaired.
o
Switching on:
Use your thumb to actuate
the switch lock
[

, then press the on/off
switch
[

. Release the switch lock.
o
Switching off:
Release the on/off switch.
There is no continuous operation mode.
Adjusting the product
Adjusting the auxiliary handle (Fig. F1)

The auxiliary handle

can be set to
various positions. Adjust the handle so that
the spool cap

is tilted slightly forward
as you work (see picture below “Cutting
grass”).
o
Loosen the handle screw
[

and move
the auxiliary handle to your favourite
position. Tighten the handle screw. The
latching steps integrated into the holder
prevent the handle from changing position
unintentionally.
Adjusting the height (Fig. F2)

The telescopic shaft

allows you to
adjust the product to your personal size.

Loosen the threaded bush

. Adjust the
telescopic shaft to the correct length and
tighten the threaded bush.
Adjusting the cutting angle (Fig. F3)

Changing the cutting angle lets you trim
grass at places that a difficult to reach,
e.g. under benches or wall offsets.

Press the push button
