Soldering sponge
ATTENTION!

► Dampen the soldering sponge

before use.
Soldering
Vapours can lead to headaches
and fatigue if inhaled.
■ Thanks to its design, it is especially suitable for
hard-to-reach areas and fine soldering work.
♦ Clean the soldering tip
q
on the wet soldering
sponge
2
.
♦ After cleaning, the soldering tip
q
must be
tinned. Tin the hot soldering tip
q
by melting
some solder
w
.
♦ Direct the soldering tip
q
to the soldering loca-
tion and heat it.
♦ Place the solder
w
between the soldering loca-
tion and soldering tip
q
to melt it.
♦ Keep feeding solder
w
until the entire solder
joint is covered.
♦ Then withdraw the soldering tip
q
immediately
to prevent the molten solder from overheating.
♦ Allow the solder to harden and avoid any
knocks or vibrations.
NOTE
► The flux is either included in the solder or
applied separately. When you buy the solder,
ask about the kind of applications it is suitable
for and the appropriate flux.
Maintenance and cleaning

Always remove the battery and
allow the appliance to cool down
before you carry out any work on
the appliance.
■ Always clean the appliance after completion
of work.
■ To clean the housing, use a cloth and a mild
detergent if necessary.
■ Never use sharp objects, petrol, solvents or
cleaning agents that can damage plastic.
■ Do not allow any liquids to get into the interior
of the appliance.
