- On the suction side, do not use
any quick-action connection sys-
tems.
- Do not use the suction hose as a
pressure pipeline.
1. Remove the cover caps (1/3)
from the device.
2. Unless already mounted, screw
the pre-fi lter with backfl ow pre-
venter (15) and pre-fi lter connec-
tion (16) onto the suction hose
(14). All parts are marked
with a
B
.
3. First, screw the adapter piece
(11) with water inlet (2) onto the
device. Both pieces marked with
an
A
.
4. Next, screw the suction hose
connection water inlet (13) with
the sealing ring (12) onto the
adapter piece (11). Both pieces
marked with an
A
. Fit the wa-
ter inlet free from air.
5. Fit a pressure hose to the water
outlet (4) Fit the water outlet free
from air.
Air in the suction hose will stop the
garden pump from working properly.
Filling the pump
Fill up the garden pump every time before
you start using it. Caution: Avoid dry run-
ning of the pump! Danger of overheating!
Never touch an overheated pump! There is
a danger of burns!
When switching on the pump, ensure that
the pump and suction hose are completely
fi lled with water in order to prevent the dry
running of the pump. Dry running dam-
ages the device.
1. Open the fi lling screw (
9) on the
garden pump.
2. Fill with water to the fi ll point and
retighten the fi lling screw (
9).
Checks before initional
operation
• Check that the electrical connec-
tion is 230 V~ / 50 Hz.
• Check the proper status of the elec-
trical plug socket and make sure
that the plug socket is suffi ciently
fused (at least 10 A).
• Make sure that moisture or water
never come in contact with the
mains connection. There is a risk
of electrocution.
• Control the suction hose. The end
of the suction hose must be placed
in water.
• Control the suction hose. The end
of the suction hose must be in out-
let position.
The device is not suitable to be con-
nected to a drinking water supply
system.
With the included suction
hose (
14), the maximum dis-
charge rate of the garden pump can
not be reached.
