Use only the accessories and auxiliary equip-
ment that are specified in the operating instruc-
tions and are compatible with the appliance.
Operation
Changing/inserting the tool/collet
chuck
♦
Press the spindle lock and hold it down.
♦
Turn the tensioning nut until the lock clicks
into place.
♦
Undo the tensioning nut from the thread
using the combination spanner .
♦
Remove any attached tool.
♦
First push the intended tool through the
tensioning nut before inserting it into the
appropriate collet chuck for the tool
shaft.
♦
Press the spindle lock and hold it down.
♦
Push the collet chuck into the thread insert
and screw the tensioning nut tight with the
combination spanner .
Using an accessory tool with a mandrel
♦
Use the screwdriver side of the combination
spanner to undo and tighten the screw on
the mandrels or .
♦
Insert the respective mandrel , or into
the appliance as described.
♦
Use the combination spanner to undo the
screw on the mandrel or .
♦
Insert the desired accessory tool between the
two washers on the screw.
♦
Use the combination spanner to tighten the
screw on the mandrel or .
Whet stone
♦
Do not manually grind any edges with the whet
stone .
Fitting abrasive belts
♦
Push the abrasive belt onto the abrasive
belt mandrel . Tighten the screw on the abra-
sive belt mandrel in order to fix the abrasive
belt .
Fitting polishing attachments
♦
Screw the polishing attachment onto the tip
of the mandrel for polishing attachments .
Switching on and off/setting speed
range
CAUTION!
■
The rotation direction can be read off the
arrow engraved on the union nut (anti-
clockwise symbol).
Switching on/setting the speed range

Set the ON/OFF switch to the "I" position.
♦
Set the speed control to a position between
"1" and "MAX".
Switching off

Move the ON/OFF switch to the position
"O".
