Adjusting chisel position
You can rotate the tool to the required position for
chiselling using this function.
♦ Turn the function selector switch to
position .
♦ Turn the tool in the tool holder to the
required position.
♦ Turn the function selector switch to
position for the chiselling function.
Select direction of rotation
♦ Select the direction of rotation by adjusting the
right/left rotation switch .
WARNING!
► The right/left running switch may only
be used/adjusted if the appliance is at a
standstill.
Switching on and off
Switching the appliance on
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch .
Switching the appliance off
♦ Release the ON/OFF switch .
Switching to continuous operation
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch . Lock it in the
pressed position with the ON/OFF switch lock
button .
Switching off continuous operation
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch and release it
again.
Preselecting rotational speed
You can use the speed preselector wheel to
preselect the rotational speed. Level 1 (low rota-
tional speed) up to level 6 (high rotational speed).
The speed you select depends on the material to
be processed. Work out the right setting with this
practical test:
-
Levels 4 – 6: high rotational speed:
for hammer drilling/chiselling in concrete or
stone.
- Levels 1 – 3: medium rotational speed:
for drilling in steel or wood.
NOTE
► The set speed is only reached in continuous
operation.
Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY! Switch
the appliance off and remove the
power plug before starting any work
on the appliance.
■ Never permit liquids to enter inside the appliance.
■ Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the housing.
■ Clean the tool holder regularly:
CAUTION! PRELOADING!
♦ To do this, pull the locking collar backwards
and pull the dust protector cap off the tool
holder .
♦ Before fitting a tool into the tool holder ,
grease it lightly.
WARNING!
► If the power cord requires replacement, this
should be carried out by the manufacturer or
an approved representative to avoid safety
hazards.
NOTE
► Replacement parts not listed (such as carbon
brushes, switches) can be ordered via our
service hotline.
