Initial use
Connect airbrush set
Always unplug from the mains before you
connect the airbrush set with the compressor.
Use the relevant screw connection to connect
the spray stylus
3
with the coiled hose
2
and the coiled hose to the airbrush compressor
1
. Use the included open-end wrench.
10
(see Fig. A).
Fasten the paint mixing beaker with the con-
nection lid to the spray stylus
3
(see Fig. B).
Connect the mains plug to the mains socket.
Note: f
or optimal results, professionals use an
interposed pressure reducer (not included in
delivery). The pressure reducer can be used to
adjust the compressed air at the spray gun and
optimise it to your needs.
Mixing paints for use
The paints included are water-soluble. In order to
properly apply the paints, add water and stir. As
delivered, the paints are too viscous.
Shake the colour tube with the cap still on.
Put 3-4 drops of the colour in the mixing
beaker.
Fill the jar half full with water and stir with the
stirring rod
24
.
It is important that there are no clumps. Screw
the lid onto the beaker.
Connect the paint mixing beaker
4
according
Figure B.
Note:
if you wish, you can use the quantity of
water you add to influence the colour strength,
as with water colour paints. The more water
you add, the "thinner" the colour. You can also
mix individualised colour tones from the availa-
ble colour pastes. Ensure that there are no
paint clumps in the paint containers. The con-
sistency should correspond to that of water.
Note:
if the used colour is too opaque, in-
crease the quantity of colour in the mixture.
Switching the airbrush
compressor on / off
Turn the airbrush compressor
1
on by setting
the on / off switch
5
to the position "I" (see
Fig. C).
Turn the airbrush compressor
1
off by setting
the on / off switch
5
to the
position "0" (see Fig. C).
Note:
full pressure is reached after approx.
two seconds.
Regulating the air pressure
Regulate the air pressure by adjusting the air
pressure measurement button on the top side
of the spray stylus
3
.
The air pressure can be adjusted by turning the
air pressure regulator
6
.
The level of air pressure will be shown on the
pneumatic display.
Turning the air pressure regulator
6
to the left
lowers air pressure; turning the air pressure reg-
ulator
6
to the right increases air pressure.
An internal valve bleeds overpressure if it is not
reduced.
Regulating the result of the
spray stylus
Regulate quantity of paint in use and therefore
also the result of the spraying by turning paint
nozzle on the spray stylus to the left (see Fig. B).
Connecting the pneumatic hose
Connect the pneumatic hose
7
to the airbrush
compressor
1
. Use the included open-end
spanner
10
to do so (compare Fig. A).
