L
OOK OUT FOR CHILDREN
!
An electrical appliance is not a toy. Children do not recognise the dangers that could arise through use of electrical
appliances. Make your children aware of the dangers, which could be associated with this appliance:
• Burns from touching the appliance or hot air.
• Dangers from electrical current.
• Fire if the appliance is covered.
For these reasons, the appliance should always be supervised and kept out of reach of children. Children must not use
the appliance. In a household with children, always switch the appliance off after use and unplug in from the mains.
• The appliance must not be used if it is in any way damaged. Regularly check the heating rods and power cable. The
isolation must not be damaged or crushed.
• Only use the appliance in itës fully assembled state, upright and with the heating element in a horizontal position.
Otherwise the housing could overheat, which could lead to a fire risk.
• Stand the floor heater on a level surface. Leave enough space on all sides and above.
• The floor heater can only be used if it is placed on a level surface. On an uneven surface, the safety switch on the
underside of the appliance will not be pushed in and the floor heater will not be able to be used. For safety
reasons, this switch must not be bypassed or otherwise put out of action. Keep the safety switch clean to provide
trouble free use.
• The device must only be used in dry surroundings and away from flammable materials, liquids or gasses. The floor
heater is intended for indoor use only. If used on a patio or balcony, the appliance absolutely must be supervised
and protected from moisture. This floor heater must not be used in the immediate vicinity of a bath, shower or
swimming pool.
• Position the power cable so that there is no risk of tripping. The cable must not be damaged by sharp edges or
heat. Use only approved extension cables.
• The appliance must be switched off when it is to be plugged into the mains.
• The appliance may only be connected to an earthed mains socket with 220/230 Volts. Your household electricity
supply must correspond with the voltage shown on the type plate. Non-earthed plug sockets for razors are not
suitable.
