17. Troubleshooting
m WARNING
Risk of injury due to accidental starting of the appliance.
• Before working on the appliance, turn the On/Off switch (19) to “OFF” and pull off the spark plug connector (24).
m WARNING
Risk of burns!
• Do not touch the hot exhaust silencer, cylinder or cooling fins.
ATTENTION
• If the fault cannot be remedied, the appliance must be checked by customer service.
Fault Possible cause Remedy
Engine cannot be started Automatic oil switch-off activated. Check oil level, add engine oil.
Soot deposit on spark plug Clean or replace spark plug.
No fuel Add fuel.
Spark plug connector is disconnected Connect the spark plug connector to the spark plug
Spark plug connector is damaged Contact Customer Service
Ignition does not work Contact Customer Service
Engine is difficult to start Out-of-date fuel or water in fuel Drain fuel and fill with new fuel.
Spark plug does not produce an ignition spark Contact Customer Service
Carburettor incorrectly adjusted Contact Customer Service
Engine has too little power
and vibrates excessively Contaminated air filter Clean the air filter
Engine dies during opera-
tion No fuel Top up with fuel
Engine loses power during
operation Engine speed is too low Operate the trigger slower. If the fault persists, contact
Customer Service.
Appliance does not gener-
ate sufficient pressure Nominal speed of the engine too low. Check the nominal speed of the engine;

Low-pressure nozzle is fitted. Fit high-pressure nozzle.
Nozzle blocked/eroded. Clean/replace nozzle
Intake filter contaminated. Clean intake filter
Air in the system. Bleed the appliance (see “Use”).
Water supply quantity too low. Check water supply
Supply lines to high-pressure pump leaking or
blocked. Check all supply lines to the high-pressure pump. Con-
tact Customer Service.
Pump is defective Contact Customer Service
Appliance is leaking,

appliance The high-pressure pump is leaking Max. permissible is 3 drops per minute. For more serious
leaks, have the appliance checked by customer service.
Cleaning agent is not
