High Pressure Drain Kits
Models JDK5000V, JDK5000H, SJDK6000V, and SJDK6000H
This instruction manual must be read by everyone who installs or works with this equipment.
INTRODUCTION:
Finite
®
high pressure drain kits are designed to safely remove condensate from a high pressure compressed gas system.
To ensure effective performance of this drain kit, carefully follow the instructions in this manual.
SAFETY:
These high pressure drain kits have been designed and built with safety as a prime consideration. Industry-accepted
safety factors have been used in the design.
Do not operate the drain kits at pressures and temperatures in excess of the rated conditions shown on the label.
Operation above maximum conditions may cause damage to the drain kits or serious injury to personnel.
WARNING
COMPRESSED GASES CAN BE DANGEROUS. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS MUST BE OBSERVED IN THE USE OF
COMPRESSED GASES AND COMPRESSED GAS EQUIPMENT. BEFORE INSTALLING THE DRAIN KIT,
COMPLETELY DEPRESSURIZE THE INTERNAL PRESSURE OF THE COMPONENT TO BE DRAINED AND VERIFY
THAT THE INTERNAL PRESSURE HAS BEEN RELIEVED USING A PRESSURE GAUGE KNOWN TO BE
ACCURATE AND OPERATIONAL.
INSTALLATION:
Piping and connections:
Inlet connections are SAE-6 for the JDK-Series and SAE-4 for the SJDK-Series. The SAE fitting for all models can be
removed to provide a ¼” NPT male connection. The outlet connection for all models is ¼” NPT.
Orientation:
The drains with a vertical orientation (JDK5000V & SJDK6000V) should be used for applications in which there is
adequate bowl removal clearance, while the drains with a horizontal orientation (JDK5000H & SJDK6000H) are ideal for
applications with low bowl removal clearance.
