CARE & STORAGE
Care
•
Keep the display free from dirt and fingerprints to avoid the obscuring the readout.
•
To clean the screen, use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth. Never use a paper towel or
other paper-based towels as they can leave scratches on the screen.
•
Never disassemble the Rescue Guardian, as this is not only dangerous but will also void
warranty.
•
Use a damp, well wrung out microfiber cloth, with mild soap and water to clean dirt
from the Rescue Guardian exterior surface. Do not use solvents, doing so may cause
the external surface to deteriorate.

Rescue Guardian and Batteries
Please avoid using or storing your Rescue Guardian in the following kinds of places, as this
may damage the electronics:
•
Places with extreme high temperature, high humidity, or rapid changes in humidity or
temperature.
•
Places with large amounts of sand or dust.
•
Places where the Rescue Guardian will be in contact with chemicals.
•
Places where strong magnetism is emitted (next to monitors, transformers, magnets,
etc.).
•
Always store your Rescue Guardian in the provided case or box.
•
Always store the Rescue Guardian Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries safely when not in
use.
•
Be sure to charge the batteries before initial use, as they are not fully charged at the
time of dispatch.
•
Due to the characteristics of the batteries, use in cold areas will shorten the usage time
even if the batteries are sufficiently charged.
•
If storing for a long time, charge the batteries for around 30 minutes once every year.
•
Do not recharge immediately after charging has been completed.
•
Charge in an area with an ambient temperature between 50°F and 104°F (10°C and
40°C). Charging in cold or hot areas may cause the batteries to deteriorate or prevent
sufficient charging.
