CONTROLS
Top Touch Panel
The majority of the settings and controls of the XR subwoofer must be accessed with the
free Paradigm Subwoofer Control App found in the Apple App Store or Google PlayStore.
The XR subwoofers are also equipped with a capacitive touch screen volume control on
the top, near the back of the subwoofer. This touch screen control allows you to adjust the
volume in several ways.
“Volume Swipe” - The panel will illuminate when your hand is near the control panel. By
pressing the volume indicator you can swipe your finger to the right to raise the volume, or
to the left to lower the volume.
“Volume Tap” - Alternatively, more minute volume adjustments can be made by pressing
your finger on the right side of the control panel to raise the volume or by pressing at the
left side to lower the volume.
SETTINGS:
The following settings can be found on the main page of the Paradigm subwoofer control
app. This offers maximum convenience by enabling the adjustment of these settings from
anywhere within range of the subwoofer. This also makes adjustments much more accurate
as you can listen in real time from your listening position as you make changes in the app.
At any point within the app, you can press the “Help” icon for an explanation of the feature
or setting. The app communicates to the subwoofer via Bluetooth LE so only 1 device can
control the subwoofer at any time. To allow another device to connect to the subwoofer, you
must force close the app or choose the “Discovery” tab to return to the device discovery
screen. This will disconnect the app from the subwoofer and allow it to be seen on another
device running the app.
DSP Mode (Listening Mode)
XR Subwoofers allow a choice between 3 different DSP or Listening modes. Simply press
the icon on the main page of the app or select from the options listed in the “Listening
Mode” section of the app (located in the “settings” tab).
Movie
The Movie listening mode is an aggressive setting that maximizes output. Recommended
for a cinema experience or whenever maximum output is desired.
