6 Error Display and Troubleshooting
6.1 Pre-maintenance Check
I. Environment
The power voltage must be in the range of 220~240 VAC, depending on the model.
Place the equipment on a flat, stable surface.
Keep the room temperature between 10°C and 32.5°C, and humidity at 20%-80%
Do not expose the equipment to dust.
Do not expose the equipment to ammonia or other noxious gases.
Avoid exposing the equipment to heat or moisture (e.g. near water or a humidifier).
Avoid exposing the equipment to direct sunlight.
Use the printer in a well-ventilated room.
Make sure the printer’s air vent is not blocked.
II. About paper
Check whether the paper used is within the specified range. [Printing with paper that is
too thick, too thin, or curled may result in paper jams, feed problems or poor print
quality]
Do not use damp or wet paper. [If paper is damp or wet, please replace with dry paper
and check to see if the quality improves]
Do not use short grain or acid paper, as this will result in print quality problems
III. Consumables
Replace the toner cartridge when the indicator on the printer control panel flashes
yellow or the LCD display shows that the toner lever is low.
Check that the specified Pantum toner cartridge is being used. For more information,
please refer to
5.2 “Consumables."
