Windows will detect the new hardware (Sprint Mobile
Broadband Card) and will install the necessary drivers.
The Add New Hardware Wizard or Found New Hardware
Wizard will automatically start, depending on your
operating system.
Note:
Windows 2000 users:
You must log in with administrative privileges
to install the software and drivers.
Windows XP users:
You may need to log in with administrative
privileges, depending on your Windows configuration.

1.
Insert the Sprint Mobile Broadband Card installation CD
into your CD-ROM drive.
2.
If the CD does not auto start, select
Start > Run
and enter
d:\Sprint PCS Connection Manager.msi
, where
d
is the
letter of your CD-ROM.
3.
In the installation window, click
Next
.
4.
Read the License Agreement and then click
Yes
to accept
the agreement and proceed with the installation.
5.
Use the
Next
and
Back
buttons to navigate through the
wizard.
6.
In the Installation Complete! window, click
Restart
.
Caution:
Do not insert the Sprint Mobile Broadband Card until you have
installed the Sprint PCS Connection Manager software and restarted
your computer.
7.
Click
OK
when you are prompted to insert the
Sprint Mobile Broadband Card. Insert the card into the
Type II PC Card slot.
Note:
Do not force the Sprint Mobile Broadband Card into the slot. Insert
the card with the Sprint label facing up. (See
“
Inserting the Card
”
on
page 9.)
