200 Ω, the test leads should be shorted before the actual measurement and
their resistance value should be subtracted from the value of the actual
measurement. Above 1MΩ the display may fluctuate for a few seconds before
the exact value is displayed.
Continuity test
Attention: Before making any measurements, make sure the circuit is
disconnected from any power source and all capacitors are properly
discharged!
1. Set the rotary switch to the - Position
2. Attach the pin-plug of the black test lead to the COM-jack and the pin-plug
of the red test lead to the CAP -jack.
3. Press the MODE button to select the desired function.
4. Connect the test prods of the leads to the resistance or circuit to be
tested. To avoid influence disconnect the resistant to be tested from the
circuit.
5. If the resistance is less than about 60 Ω, you hear an audible signal. If the
circuit is open, the display shows “OL”.
Diode testing
1. Set the rotary switch to the - Position
2. Attach the pin-plug of the black test lead to the COM-jack and the pin-plug
of the red test lead to the CAP -jack.
3. Press the MODE button to select the desired function.
4. Touch the diode to be tested with the probes. The forward voltage shows
400 to 700mV. The counter voltage shows „OL”. Defective devices show a
value about 0 mV or „OL” in both polarities.
