The mode dial is used to switch between
recording and playback modes.

Rotate the mode dial slowly but surely.
Rotate the mode dial, and set the
desired mode pictograph to the
position shown in the illustration.
This unit has a joystick for selecting functions,
performing operations, etc. so it is easy to
operate this unit with one hand.

Basic operations
Operations on the menu screen and selection
of scenes on the thumbnail view screen, etc.
Move the joystick up, down, left, or
right to select an item or scene, and
then press the joystick to set it.

Joystick and screen display
Press the centre of the joystick, and icons will
be displayed on the screen. Each press
switches the display as follows depending on
the mode.
(In the disc playback mode or the card
playback mode, the icons will be automatically
displayed on the screen.)
Selecting a mode
Disc recording mode
Use this to record motion pictures on a
disc.
Disc playback mode
Use this to play back motion pictures
on a disc.
Card recording mode
Use this to record still pictures on an
SD card.
Card playback mode
Use this to play back still pictures on
an SD card.
How to use the joystick
Select by moving up, down, left, right.
Press the joystick to select the item.
Disc recording mode
: The operation icon is off.
