
2005 PLASMA WHITE BALANCE ADJUSTMENT & PRESETS
How to Adjust the White Balance of PD50/PX50/PX500 Plasma Models
Turn on the PDP and select the input or source of the signal generator to be used for WB
calibration.
Using the WB-Remote, PRESS Buttons A, then B. (use a thin blunt object to press in)
The PDP will enter the factory mode and display "INTERCAT2001"….. WB-ADJ.
Adjustments to White Balance can now be made using the PDP TV remote with 10 digit
number keys.
Use buttons 1 & 2 to toggle and select the Main ADJ items (WB-ADJ).
Use buttons 3 & 4 to toggle the Sub Items (RGB cutoffs and drives).
Use the Volume - / + buttons to change the data value (RGB cutoff and drive).
NOTE ALL DEFAULT VALUES BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES
White Balance settings can be stored independently for each picture mode High (Vivid),
Mid (Standard) and LOW (Cinema).
Apply a signal generator to the component or HDMI input, Enter the WB Mode, then press the
MENU button (on TV remote).
Select Picture menu and set to STANDARD mode. Repeat for VIVID and Cinema if necessary.
Press Exit button (TV remote) and Recall button until the RGB adjustment items appear in WB
mode. (MID is for Standard)
When the white balance / color temperature adjustment has been completed,
press button "C"
on the WB remote.
Button C will exit the factory mode and perform a "SELF CHECK" display.
Unplug the AC cord and reconnect again. The new color temperature values will have been
stored.
