Dimming the display
Convenient functions
Muting the volume
The unit’s display shows the level of each sound range with the
four types of display described below.
Press [DISPLAY, -DEMO] on the main unit.
Every time you press the button:
Normal display Peak-hold display Aurora display
Off Reflection display
Press [MUTING].
Volume is reduced to minimum. (Output from REC OUT
(
➡
right) is unaffected.)
To cancel
Press [MUTING] again or reduce the volume to minimum, then
raise it to the required level.
Muting also cancels when you switch the unit to standby.

Use this when you are going to sleep or any other time you
would prefer to dim the display panel.
Press [DIMMER].
Every time you press the button:
Off Level 1 Level 2
To return to the original brightness, press [DIMMER] again.
Normal display
This display indicates the strength of the
sound in each tonal range.
Peak-hold
display
The peak sound value of each sound range
is held on the display for about one second
after it occurs.
Aurora display
The peak sound value of each sound range
is displayed in inverted form.
Reflection
display
The display which indicates the strength of
the sound in each tonal range is displayed in
inverted form.

Before connection
Disconnect the AC power supply cord.
Turn off all equipment and read the appropriate operating
instructions.
The equipment connections described are examples only.

You can playback sound from portable audio equipment.
Sound from the speaker may be distorted if the portable audio
equipment’s equalizer (if any) is turned on. Turn it off before you
plug into the MUSIC PORT jack. (There is no output from REC
OUT)
Preparation:
Reduce the volume of the unit and portable audio equipment
before connecting.

Connect the portable audio equipment.
Plug type: 3.5 mm stereo

Press [TUNER/MUSIC P.] to select “MUSIC P.”.
(main unit: [MUSIC PORT])
The unit comes on.
Every time you press the button:

MUSIC P.

Play the portable audio equipment.
