The unit consumes power (approx. 0.9 W) even when it is turned

not to be used for a long time, unplug it from the household AC
power socket. Remember to reset the radio stations and any
other memory items before using the unit again.
Information you enter into the unit’s memory remains intact for up
to 2 weeks after the AC power supply cord is disconnected.
