On the Advanced Switch Configuration Menu, pressing "V" opens the VLAN Man

agement Menu screen, as shown in Fig. 4-12. On this screen, you can configure
the VLAN-related settings.

Screen Description
VLAN ID
Displays the VLAN ID.
VLAN Name
Displays the name of the VLAN that has been configured.
VLAN Type
Displays the VLAN type.
Permanent
Indicates that the VLAN is the one of the initial settings. At least one
VLAN must exist, and this VLAN cannot be deleted.
Static
Indicates that the VLAN is the newly configured one.
Mgmt
Indicates whether the VLAN is a management VLAN or not.
UP
Indicates that the VLAN is a management VLAN (VLAN that can com
-
municate with the CPU).
DOWN
Indicates that the VLAN is not a management VLAN.
Note:
All ports belong to VLAN ID=1 (default VLAN) in factory default setting,
and the management VLAN status of VLAN ID=1 is UP.
