2. GERAL DESCRIPTIONS
2.1. SERVICE CAUTION-1
-REPLACING IC7701, IC7703 and/or B7701-
When the OSD-Microprocessor IC7701, S-RAM IC7703 and/or Back-up battery B7701 are
replaced, the Tape Library data will not be available.Therefore, back up the Tape Library data
first, then perform necessary servicing.
NOTE:
*The Tape Library system is achieved using not only the data of
which is recorded on the tape but also the data is stored in S-RAM
IC7703.*The stored data in S-RAM IC7703 is backed up by using the
power source of:
*AC Connected: AC Power souse
*AC Disconnected: Back-up Battery (B7701).
(NOTE: Even if the OSD PACK C.B.A.(VEP07A30A/B) is
disconnected from the VCR, the power is still supplied from Back-
up battery.)
2.1.1. REPLACING PROCEDURE
2.1.1.1. PREPARATION
NOTE:
It is necessary that the Tape Library System has to operate properly.
STEP1.BACK UP THE TAPE LIBRARY DATA
1. Connect a TV and a RF Aerial lead to the VCR and receive one of
TV station.
2. Record the TV programme for at least 15 minuets in the SP or LP
mode (25 minuets in the EP mode) on a Cassette Tape.
