3.5. Cord Reel (MC-UG327-00)
3.5.1. Removal
1. Remove motor cover (See Motor - Removal).
2. Cut black and white cord reel lead wires close to cord reel.
3. Lift out cord reel.
4. Pull power cord out approximately 1 foot.
5. Press cord retainer outward from the inside.
6. Remove cord through slots in the cord retainer.
7. Disconnect cord reel leads from the power supply board
and on/off switch.
8. Remove cord reel and discard if defective.
3.5.2. Installation
1. Route plug through hole in dust container and place in cord
retainer.
2. Snap cord retainer into dust container.
3. Install cord reel into dust container.
4. Cut terminals and strip lead wires on new cord reel
5. Strip lead wire which were cut during removal.
6. Reconnect cord reel leads (refer to wiring diagram).
7. Route all wiring in accordance with wire management
drawing.
8. Reinstall motor cover (See Motor - Installation). Make sure
no wires are pinched.
3.6. Power Cord (MC-UG323-00)
3.6.1. Removal
1. Remove motor cover (See Cord Reel - Removal).
2. Cut black and white power cord leads at cord jacket.
3. Remove two (2) screws and cord stopper.
4. Remove cord through hole in dust container and discard.
3.6.2. Installation
1. Insert power cord leads through hole in dust container.
2. Install cord stopper and two (2) screws. NOTE: DO NOT
reuse cord stopper.
3. Strip leads on new power cord and wires cut during
removal. Reconnect leads (refer to wiring diagram if
necessary).
4. Tuck wires to avoid pinching.
5. Reinstall motor cover (See Motor - Installation). Make sure
no wires are pinched.
