This mode allows you to take pictures of a
fast moving subject. (e.g. When taking
pictures of outdoor sports.)

Technique for Sports mode
To record actions of the subject as if it were
still, the shutter speed becomes faster than
usual. This mode is more effective when
taking pictures in the daytime on a clear
day.
• This mode is suitable for outdoors in the
daytime, keeping 5 m or more away from
the subject.
• White balance works best when recording
outdoors in the daytime. When using
indoors, the hue may change.
This mode allows you to take a picture of a
wide landscape. This mode is suitable
when the distance between the camera
and the subject is 5 m or more in the open
air. You can take pictures of a far landscape
even through a windowpane.
• The focus range is 5 m–
