Establish a USB connection between PC and laser marking system
The PC and the laser marking system can be connected via USB, Bluetooth, or Ethernet. For
USB connections, use a USB cable. You can connect more than one laser marker to a PC,
e.g. using a USB hub.
Laser Marker NAVI smart must be installed on your PC.
1. Connect the laser marking system and the PC with a USB cable.
Connect the USB cable to the USB interface B on the controller.
2. Start the laser marking system.
3. Start Laser Marker NAVI smart.
4. On the “Startup” screen, select “Online” to open the “Connection” dialog.
Any laser marking system that is ready for an online connection is displayed in the list.
If the desired laser marking system is not in the list, select “Search laser marker”.
5. Select the laser marking system that you want to connect.
6. Select “Connect” to establish the connection.
When the online connection is established, a dialog opens and shows a list of all
marking files saved on the laser marking system.
Do not turn off the power supply during an online connection with your PC. Otherwise a data loss or
system failure may occur.
Do not disconnect the USB cable while the laser marker is online.
