Frequently asked questions

Question

Cause/solution

How can I increase handset
volume level?

L

Push the joystick up

{^}

 repeatedly while talking.

Why is the conversation
noisy or cutting off?

L

Try to relocate the base unit so that distance from
location to use the handset will be minimized.

L

Send your unit to service, if your unit has same
problem when the handset is next to the base unit.

Can I add another
accessory handset to my
base unit?

L

Yes, you can add up to 6 handsets (including the
handset(s) sold with your own base unit) to a single
base unit.

L

To purchase accessory handset (KX-TGA820),
please visit http://www.panasonic.com
or call 1-800-332-5368. TTY users (hearing or speech
impaired users) can call 1-866-605-1277.

Can I keep battery charging
all the time?

L

You can leave handset on the base unit or charger
anytime. This will not harm the battery.

How can I answer a call-
waiting call (2nd call)?

L

Press

CALL WAIT

}

 when you hear call-waiting tone.

Why is “

New Voice Mail

”

not displayed on the
handset even though I have
new messages in my voice
mail service?

L

Your service provider/telephone company needs to
provide the signal for visual message waiting
indicator. Consult your service provider/telephone
company of your Voice Mail service.

L

If you hear the “interrupted” dial tone, new messages
are waiting. You can check if you have new messages
by simply listening to the dial tone even if you cannot
be provided the visual message waiting signal.

L

To use the Voice Mail service provided by your service
provider/telephone company rather than the unit's
answering system, turn off the answering system.
