Printer Status Display
The Printer Status Display will show the printer status, error message or recovery information
of the local printer connected to your computer using the parallel interface or USB interface
cable. When an error has occurred, the Printer Status Display icon (
) is blinking on the
task bar or a Printer Status Display window is displayed. The Printer Status Display icon is
different depending on the printer error.
If the printer is shared through the network, the Printer Status Display cannot be used.
If the startup setting is set to Stay, the Printer Status Display icon (
) will be located on
the task bar when the system is started (
see “Setting the Printer Status Display” on page 56
).
When a printer error has occurred, the Printer Status Display icon is blinked on the task bar.
To display the Printer Status Display window, double click the blinking icon.
If you want to exit the Printer Status Display program, click the Printer Status Display icon with
the right mouse button, then select Exit.
