3.1.13 Calling Party Control (CPC) Signal Detection
Description
The Calling Party Control (CPC) signal is an on-hook indication (disconnect signal) sent from the analog
Trunk line when the other party hangs up. To maintain efficient utilization of Trunk lines, the PBX monitors
their state and when CPC signal is detected from a line, it disconnects the line.
Conditions
Conditions
Note
CPC signal detection is programmable for incoming Trunk line calls,
and for outgoing Trunk line calls.
If a CPC signal is detected during a Conference call, that line is
disconnected, but the remaining parties stay connected.
If a CPC signal is detected during a call between a caller using the
DISA feature and an extension or an outside party, the line is
disconnected.
For CPC signal detection, enabling of detection and detection time
can be set for both the outgoing CPC signal and incoming CPC
signal.
