10 Access Restrictions
With this unit, you can restrict access to functions as needed. You can select one of the following.
•
Allow access only to preconfigured jobs and presets.
•
Lock the contents of scan settings.
•
Restrict which output destinations each user (up to 50 users) can use for push scan.
Allow access only to preconfigured jobs and presets
By setting "Panel Lock" (page 110) to [Process only items in Favorites], the LCD will only show the screen
for selecting preconfigured jobs and presets. The home screen will not be displayed.
You can select jobs or presets that have been configured in advance.
Lock the contents of scan settings
When "Panel Lock" (page 110) is enabled (On), the contents of the scan settings (page 72) will be locked.
To unlock the settings, touch the icon (
) and enter "User Name" and "Password" (page 111).
Touching the icon (
) will change it to (
), and the scan settings will be locked.
Restrict the output destinations for push scan
You can restrict the output destination of push scan by enabling (On) "Settings" in "User Authentication".
You can restrict the which output destinations are available for users for push scan by enabling (On)
"Settings" in "User Authentication".

Before operating the LCD, users must log in by entering "User ID" and "Password".
•
Touch the icon (
) to log out.
•
Set "Time Out" (page 110), to automatically log out users when no operation has been performed for a
while.
•
You can either register user accounts to the unit or use LDAP information.
