24 Set Calendar and Clock (H3)
The real time clock (RTC) component has a capacitor as a backup supply. Normally when
the Control Unit is turned on for the first time

, only the date, time and day of the week
required to be set. If required, the clock might be corrected, so that the "time stamps" for
fire alarms, faults, etc. will be correct. Upon the completion of the commissioning work, the
clock must be checked and corrected if required.
The calendar and clock can be set in any FDCIE for the whole system. Every day (at
midnight) the calendar and clock will be synchronised.
Note 1: The capacitor can supply the RTC for two days. When the power turned off, it is
recommended to check / set the date and time in menu H3.
Note 2: If no changes required, press "ESC" instead of "

24.1 Daylight Saving Time
The daylight saving is set via EBLWin in the system properties. When set, the time will be
automatically changed according to AU or NZ convention. The daylight saving time is set
in the firmware as shown below:
Australian convention : Forward 1 hour the first Sunday in October, 02:00

