II. Start-up Procedure
This section describes the Start-up procedure for the LLC Resonant Converter Board. Follow the procedure; otherwise
it may cause damage or fire.
II-1. Applying Bias Voltage to the LLC Resonant Converter Board
Apply bias voltage to the LLC Resonant Converter Board through the AC/DC adapter. Bias voltage is needed to start up
the LLC Resonant Converter Board.
1. Connect the cable of AC/DC adaptor (DC12V output) to CN9 on the LLC Resonant Converter Board.
2. Check that the LED (D0301) on the MCU Control Board is on.
3. Check that the small fan on the LLC Resonant Converter Board is in operation.
II-2. Checking the Basic Operation
The Start-up procedure for basic operation (input voltage: 380 V, output voltage: 260 V) is described below.
1. Check the switch on the Protective case to OFF (Push the “|“) side.
2. Set the value of the electronic load equipment within the range of 100
Ω
to 1 k

* Recommended value is 500

3. Apply an input voltage of 380V from input power source equipment.
4. Set the switch on the Protective case to ON (Push the “O”) side.
5. Check that the output voltage of the LLC Resonant Converter Board is 260V.
6. Shutdown the LLC Resonant Converter Board by following the <

. Shutdown Procedure>.
II-3. Examples of Checking the Basic Specifications
1. Check the load regulation.
1-1. Execute <II-1. Applying Bias Voltage to the LLC Resonant Converter Board> then <II-2. Checking the
Basic Operation>.
1-2. Check that output voltage holds 260V, even if you execute the load change (100W -> 1 kW) of the load
resistance value of electronic load equipment.
1-3. Shutdown the LLC Resonant Converter Board by following the <

. Shutdown Procedure>.
2. Check the line regulation.
2-1. Execute <II-1. Applying Bias Voltage to the LLC Resonant Converter Board> then <II-2. Checking the
Basic Operation>.
2-2. Set the output power to 500W by changing the value of the electronic load equipment.
2-3. Check that output voltage holds 260V, even if you change the voltage of input power source equipment
(380V->400V->300V->380V).
2-4. Shutdown the LLC Resonant Converter Board by following the <

. Shutdown Procedure>.
III. Shutdown Procedure
This section describes the Shutdown procedure for the LLC Resonant Converter Board. Follow the procedure;
otherwise it may cause damage or fire.
1. Set the value of the electronic load equipment within the range of 100
Ω
to 1 k
Ω
.
* Recommended value is 500
Ω
.
* In order to avoid a rapid gain change, please must not make it no-load by any means.
2. Set the switch on the Protective case to OFF (Push the “|“) side.
3. Set the voltage of the input power source equipment to 0V.
