Taking Pictures with Manual Focus
Use this function when you want to fix the focus.
Preparation
• Set the mode dial except for [ ]. (P30)

Select [MF ASSIST] from the
[SETUP] menu (in the recording
mode) (P26) and set it to [ON].
• Close the menu by pressing the
[MENU] button after finishing the
setting.

Slide the focus switch to [MF] and
rotate the MF ring
1 to focus on
the subject.
• AF: Auto focus
• MF: Manual focus
•

: One shot AF

The MF assistance appears on the
center of the screen.
• You can also set [MF ASSIST] to
[OFF] on the [SETUP] menu (in the
recording mode).
• When you stop rotating the MF
ring, the MF assistance disappears
about 2 seconds after.
