Vertical Linearity adjustment
Serviceman DAC Adjustment (D3)
Preparation:
1.
Apply a crosshatch pattern.
Procedure:
1.
Adjust D3 Vertical linearity so that distance A = B.
See Fig. 32.

To make a correlation of the Vertical Size from
monoscope pattern, after Adjust HORIZONTAL
CENTER, HORIZONTAL WIDTH, VERTICAL
POSITION AND SIZE to obtain a complete round
picture, mark the points as shown in Fig. 33 and use
them as a reference in Linearity adjustment.

Vertical Correction Adjustment
Serviceman DAC Adjustment (D2)
Preparation:
1.
Apply a crosshatch pattern.
2.
Adjust V-Size (D1) to obtain a regular size.
(Confirm with monoscope pattern a complete
round picture)

Procedure:
1.
If B-A < -1.5mm. See Fig. 34.
•
Increase the value in D2 V-S Correction one step.
•
Adjust D1 V-Size to keep picture proportions
(Confirm with monoscope pattern a complete
round picture).
•
Repeat above steps until B-A < 1.5mm.
2.
If B-A > -1.5mm. See Fig. 34.
•
Decrease D2 value one step.
•
Adjust D1 V-Size to keep picture proportions
(Confirm with monoscope pattern a complete
round picture).
•
Repeat above steps until B-A < 1.5mm.
MTS Circuit Confirmation
Audio levels (MTS Circuit) are factory preset, confirm
output levels. If are not within the range, replace the
Tuner, refer to parts list in this manual for part number.
Output Level Confirmation
Preparation:
1.
Connect an RMS meter with filter jig as shown in
Fig. 35.
2.
Connect an RF signal generator to the RF
antenna input.
