Names of Parts
The port replicator allows your peripheral devices to function exactly as if they were con-
nected directly to the computer. (Refer to “Names and Functions of Parts” in the “Operating
Instructions” accompanying the computer.)
Do not touch the expansion bus connector, pins or terminals of the port replicator.

NOTE
The LAN port does not support the following functions.
• [LAN] and [Boot up from LAN] or [Power On by LAN] in [Advanced] menu of
the Setup Utility
• [LAN] or [PCI LAN] in [Boot] menu of the Setup Utility or [LAN] in Boot First
Menu
• Wake up from LAN function
The LAN port has a slower transfer rate than that of the computer LAN because it
uses the USB to Ethernet interface.
The floppy disk drive or CD drive connected to the USB port cannot be used for
startup.
The speed at which startup, resume or LAN transfer is performed may be signifi-
cantly reduced when a USB device has been connected. If this happens, connect
the USB device to the computer.
