System Setting

Description

Remote Power 
Feed Loop

No selection available.

BOTH

BOTH is displayed in UNSTRUCT (unframed), STRUCT (framed), and 
TSP application modes. The LTU (HLU-819) uses Loop 1 and Loop 2 
to supply power to the NTU.

LOOP1 

LOOP1 displays in SINGLE application mode when POWER is selected 
for Remote Power Feed mode. This is followed by the warning

This will allow the remote unit to be powered from one loop, but will 
limit distance.

Remote Console 
Screen Access

Select whether system settings can be made from the NTU console 
screen or the settings are read-only. This option is set only at the LTU.

ALLOWED

NTU console screens can be used to make system settings.

BLOCKED

NTU console screens are read-only. The LOC and REM pushbuttons 
on the NTU are also disabled. System settings can be made only from 
the LTU console screen. A remote user is unable to log on, either 
initially or after quitting the screen, if the system setting is set to 
BLOCKED. If the system setting is changed to BLOCKED while the 
remote user is logged on, the screen changes to read-only.
