Follow the daily maintenance checks listed
in
Engine Maintenance on page 32.
The new PACCAR engine associated with
this manual does not require a “break-in”
procedure. This section of the manual
provides all of the necessary information
required for proper engine operation.
Check the engine oil pressure and engine
coolant gauges, warning lamps, and other
gauges daily to make sure they are
operational. Normally each gauge will
make a full sweep when ignition key is
cycled ON to indicate that the gauge is
operating correctly.
