Swing the lifting arms in under the vehicle, so that the lifting feet are correctly positioned in
accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.
Comply with any safety instructions that are necessary.
The automotive lift has a lifting capacity of 3 tonnes. The hydraulic valves are factory-set for
this and this may not be altered.
3.2
Before using the automotive lift, lubricate the different sliding faces using standard grease
and check the hydraulic oil.
This must be of the type HVI 32 or HVI 46.Fill with approximately 10 litres.
3.3
Checking the lifting function.
Ensure that the electrical connections are correctly fitted.
Check that all of the connections and bolts are tightened.
Lifting.
Press the button
The hydraulic engine will start and the lifting arms will now move up.
Release the button and the automotive lift will stop. Press the Lock button. The automotive lift
will now be locked, so that it will not sink down.
Lowering.
Press the button
The automotive lift will now move up slightly to release the safety pawls.
If the lower button is released, the automotive lift will stop sinking. If you wish to continue to
work on the automotive lift, press the Lock button. Otherwise swing the lifting arms out and
move the vehicle away.
Warning:
Never use an automotive lift that is defective and always ensure the area around the
worksite is tidy.
Always use all four lifting arms to raise the vehicle.
3.4
Raising the vehicle: Position the vehicle in the correct position with the balance point between
the columns, swing the lifting arms in on the points stated by the vehicle manufacturer, raise
the vehicle slightly and check that it is safe. Once the vehicle has been raised 15–20 cm, check
that the locking pawls have ensured that the lifting arms cannot swing out
(the locking teeth
must be engaged in the serrated disc).
