Keep the working area unobstructed and well lit.

Do not use the stump grinder near flammable fluids, vapours or dust.

Keep people, particularly children, at a distance while operating the stump grinder. Do
not let yourself be distracted.

The grinder should only be used by adults of sound mind and body who have been
properly instructed in its use.
•
Inexperienced users should be carefully supervised at all times.
•
Do not expose the stump grinder to rainy or wet conditions.
•
Focus on the task at hand and use common sense when operating the stump grinder.
Do not operate the grinder if you are tired or under the influence of medicine, alcohol
or narcotics. Momentary distraction can cause a severe accident.

Wear personal protective gear. Wear eye protection at all times. Personal protective
gear such as a dust mask, non-skid shoes, a helmet and ear protectors will reduce the
risk of personal injury.

Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose-fitting clothing, hair and jewellery
can get caught in moving parts.

Do not start the engine until the grinder is positioned at the stump and ready to grind.
•
Make sure to have a good working posture and firm footing. This will make it easier to
keep the grinder firmly under control, also in emergencies.

If equipment for extracting dust is used, make sure that this equipment is connected
and used correctly.
•
Before starting, always check the stump and remove any nails, wire, metal fence posts
or other metal objects, as well as stones and other objects that pose a hazard if ejected
