Using your trampoline
Getting on and off
Climb carefully up onto the trampoline.
Never pull on the safety pad or tread on the springs, and never jump down onto the
mat from something else, such as a roof or ladder.
Always help small children on and off the trampoline.
Clothing
Wear a t-shirt and shorts/tracksuit trousers and have bare feet or soft-soled plimsolls.
First-timers should wear long-sleeved clothes to avoid the risk of scratches and
grazes.
Basic jumping technique
Get used to the feeling of bouncing on the trampoline and become confident with
basic jumps.
A controlled jump is when you land on the same spot you took off from.
Always bounce in the middle of the mat, never on the edges or the springs. Stop
jumping if you cannot stay in the middle. The mat has a white cross to help you
bounce in the same spot.
You can stop bouncing up again by bending your knees when you hit the mat. Practice
this technique along with basic jumps. It is very important to be able to stop bouncing
before you get out of control!
