•
Fill the container with one quarter of the fuel.
•
Add the recommended amount of two-stroke oil.
•
Refit the lid straight and securely.
•
Shake the container to mix the petrol and oil.
•
Slowly release the lid and pour in the rest of the petrol.
•
Wipe up any spilled oil and fuel and allow it to evaporate before the container is
moved or transported.
Danger
Never make changes to the factory settings of the motor or the earth auger.
Always remove the spark plug lead when the earth auger is to be serviced or
maintained.
Always use ear protectors when the earth auger is in operation.
Never mix fuel and oil directly in the tank. Use only an approved container of any
material other than metal.
Always only allow adults to handle and fill with fuel.
Filling with fuel
•
Shut down the motor and allow it to cool down completely before filling the tank.
•
Ensure that filling takes place in a well-ventilated area, outside and away from flames
and sparks.
•
Remove dirt, etc. from the area around the fuel cap.
•
Slowly release the fuel cap and place it on a clean, dry surface.
•
Carefully fill with fuel avoiding spillages.
•
Be careful not to overfill. Do not fill the tank to the brim, but allow sufficient space for
the fuel to expand.
•
Immediately replace the fuel cap and tighten. Wipe up any spilled fuel and allow it to
dry before starting the motor.
Normal operation
•
The clutch will transfer maximum power after approx. two hours of normal operation.
During this running-in period you may find that the clutch slips. The clutch must be
kept free of oil and other moisture to function efficiently.
•
Do not place excessive body weight on the earth auger when it is drilling holes. The
earth auger works most efficiently when it only uses its own weight.
